Night of the Shooting StarA sharp rip athwart my scalp;the next thing I felt –warm wetness spreading through my locks, soak the shoulders of my top.I could hear the dripping thuds on the ground beneathas I got devoured by the brutal throb. The rusty, stomach twisting reek, smeared the dusty stench of parched brick. And I thought I saw the light;through the darkness of the night –I discount the ache of my wrecked body,Hauled myself toward what seemed an angel,as the shadows consumed me,engulfed me to eternal gloom.I couldn’t find the eyes to see,and I felt so intensely wee.I couldn’t locate my mouth to speak,to answer that velvety preach.Where dreams are made to-be,cherish that twinkle of glee. The tear of the sky,the reflection in her eye.Thank you, my angel.Goodbye.thats my poem inspirated by a movie of the same title, for my SEDP assignment.
